• 5 Tips to Improve Your Paintball Game

    There are simsideshotple ways to improve your paintball game without spending tons of money or time. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned paintball player, use the following tips to increase the chances of winning your next paintball game.

    1. Choose the Proper Equipment

    Make sure you choose the proper equipment for your height and body type. If it is too bulky or heavy for you to carry, it will drag you down on the field. If it is too lightweight, it might not provide enough coverage.

    2. Practice Aiming Off the Field

    Even if you can’t practice shooting targets at home, you can still perfect your aim. Wear your mask and tape a laser pointer to the barrel of the paintball gun marker. The laser pointer will help you estimate where the paintball would hit if you fired. Walk or run around as you would in a real game and practice aiming at targets. Aim the laser at a target in your house or backyard. Practice keeping the laser pointed at the target as you walk, jog, and run. You will develop a steady aim as you practice.

    3. Increase the Firing Rate of Your Gun

    If your gun seems to be firing too slowly, it is possible to increase the firing rate. Use your middle and index fingers to pull the trigger slowly at first, then gradually pull faster and faster. This technique is called “walking the trigger.”

    4. Walk the Field and Strategize

    Walk around the field before game play to get a feel for it. Learn the angles, bunkers, and places to hide. If your teammates are with you, use this time to think of an appropriate strategy for this field. A good strategy can win against a superior team with poor organization.

    5. Focus on Teamwork

    Remember, paintball is a team sport. Solid teamwork and communication will win you more games than a focus on individual glory. Shout or use radios to let your teammates know where opposing players are and to coordinate attacks. Always cover your teammates when they need to reload so they won’t get hit in the meantime.

  • Paintball: a Fun and Inexpensive Hobby (Beginners Welcome)!

    Looking for an inexpensive way to make friends, have fun, and stay active? Paintball might be for you! Paintball is a strategic recreational game full of adventure and excitement.

    If you ever played capture the flag as a kid, you know how to play a basic game of paintball. If not, it’s simple: two teams of players attempt to steal the other team’s flag while simultaneously guarding their own. Get hit with a paintball and you’re out. Avoid paintballs at all costs and take down players on the opposite team to get closer to victory!

    We recommend you wear a long sleeve shirt, long pants, and protective gear and getting hit won’t hurt at all. AC Paintball provides protective gear to all participants. Paintball is an extremely safe sport as long as rules are followed and safety equipment is utilized.

  • Paintball Safety Notice: Avoid Taking Your Marker (Gun) On Any School Campus

    Its easy to be in a rush and forget about safety. When you stop and think about it, a paintball gun on a school campus should be a fairly obvious no-no. But then again, people who play paintball realize that a marker looks very dissimilar to an actual gun. That difference doesn’t matter to concerned onlookers though as they notice a trigger, barrel, and handle all resembling a firearm.

    A recent Oakland incident highlights the level of reaction that can occur from a simple paintball gun in the wrong place at the wrong time:

    A report of what turned out to be a paintball gun on campus forced a lockdown at Claremont Middle School for nearly two hours on Tuesday morning.

    Just before 8:30 a.m., BART police received an anonymous tip from someone who noticed a group of three students walking toward the school as one of them placed what appeared to be an assault weapon into a green backpack, according to a letter to parents from Oakland Unified School District spokesman Troy Flint…

    Eventually the investigation led officers to an area near a portable where an unloaded paintball gun was buried. The imitation gun was a model used for paintball and it was empty, but it could have been mistaken for a real gun, Flint said. – San Jose Mercury News

    AC Paintball is home to a lot of student players as well as birthday/bachelor party-goers. We want to alert all of our valued community members to play it safe and avoid a situation like this. If you decide to purchase your own gear either leave it at home or come hang out with us. All areas in between should be considered non-paintball-gear zones.

  • Affordable Paintball Action near Winslow, NJ

    AC Paintball has always been grateful for the amount of local support we receive. If it wasn’t for nearby students and residents we simply couldn’t have grown as quickly as we have. That’s why we want to take extra effort to reach out to locals and assure them that if they are looking for paintball action we are the place to go!

    AC Paintball is located in Williamstown, NJ, just 10 minutes from Winslow. We’ve had a number of Winslow groups come through and were pleased to hear that the travel to our location was no hassle at all. We’re happy to welcome them onto our fields and hopefully you’ll decide to visit us too.

    What Does AC Paintball Offer?

    We are pleased to provide high quality paintball fields and reliable gear at affordable rates. We utilize two hyperball/speedball fields for tournament style play as well as four independent forest fields for large wooded action. Our forest courses can accommodate groups of virtually any size are perfect for a variety of scenario play. We utilize a wide variety of obstacles to keep play interesting, including old military cache-style bunkers.

    Every week we host bachelor, bachelorette, and birthday parties. It’s been great fun helping these groups organize and have a blast all while staying safe. We utilize well trained referees and have a gear testing range to ensure all equipment works properly and to our strict specifications.

  • AC Paintball near Hammonton NJ – Great Rates and Fields!

    Did you know Hammonton is part of the New Jersey Pineland National Reserves? It’s true. Hammonton has a lot of beautiful pine forests, as does the neighboring area of Williamstown. Bill Hayes, owner of AC Paintball, realized that the opportunity was too perfect and decided paintball lovers all over New Jersey should get outdoors and enjoy romping through the woods shooting paint at their close friends and family.

    AC Paintball is located just minutes away from downtown Hammonton and really just involves shooting straight down Route 54. In less than 10 minutes you could be enjoying one of New Jersey’s best paintball experiences!

    Why Choose AC Paintball?

    In addition to convenience AC Paintball offers a wide variety of fields and great rates on equipment and day passes. We feature two tournament style play areas, one speedball and the other hyperball. The differences of which are mostly in the types of obstacles used. We also utilize four expansive forest fields capable of handling teams of virtually any size.

    Our prices are highly competitive and our gear and paintballs are top notch. We allow personal equipment if you own it, however we do inspect all gear before being allowed into play. We are a ‘field paint only’ facility, which means in order to maintain a high standard of quality and to avoid complications we have all visitors by their paintballs from the on-site pro shop.

    When Are the Fields Open?

    If you have a group you can schedule play time between 10am and 4pm any day of the week. However, for week days we require groups of 10 or more players. Saturdays are open to groups as well as walk-on individual players.

  • Paintball Excitement in Williamstown, NJ! Affordable and Fun For All Ages

    williamstown nj paintballAC Paintball is located in the heart of Williamstown, New Jersey, and we couldn’t be happier with the way local residents have embraced us. Owner Bill Hayes is a long time resident of Williamstown and just two short years ago had an idea about converting some of his Emu Ranch into a paintball facility. It sounded a little crazy at first, but Bill has never been one for timid decisions. First of all, the facility started off with Emus on it! Second, Bill’s day job as a personal injury lawyer has taught him how not to be intimidated or scared into inaction. As a result, he decided to make AC Paintball a reality.

    We’ve Grown Into a Williamstown Go-To Facility

    Once word got out that we were in business we had a few test runs from local players and college students. Our professional staff, high quality gear, and well-trained referees helped all of our early players have a good time. Before long word spread and we began receiving game requests every weekend. Now we’ll have as many as eight or nine bachelor and birthday parties in a single day! We love to accommodate each and every one of these parties in order to make them feel welcome and cared for. If everybody has a good time we feel our job is complete.

    Our offerings have only increased as time has gone on and we have developed affordable packages to meet the needs of all kinds of players and groups.
