  • Organizing a Paintball Event

    Paintball is a great social game to play with friends and family. Getting everyone together last minute is nearly impossible, though. If you want to play paintball with specific people, you have to plan ahead of time. This way, everyone invited can mark the event on their calendars and make sure they don’t have other plans. Organizing an event involves a lot of planning. There are a lot of responsibilities to take care of before you can play. Let AC Paintball in southern New Jersey help.     Pick a Location

    The first step after deciding to host a paintball event, it to decide where you should play. Think about where all of your guests live and try to choose a local place. If your party lives near southern New Jersey, AC Paintball is a convenient location. They also have a variety of outdoor fields to choose from. A convenient location will increase the likelihood of your guests being able to attend.

    Pick a Field

    When choosing an AC Paintball field, you will want to think about what field is best for the games you wish to play. Wooded fields work well for capture-the-flag games. Speedball fields are good for strategic games. You will also want to take your party size into account. If you have a large party, choose a large field like AC Paintball’s Blue Thunder Woods Field. If you have a small party, you may want to choose a smaller field such as the Hyperball Field.

    Invite Players

    The people you invite to your event can determine how much fun you have. Try to invite people you enjoy being around. Having a group that gets along well together will help make your event a success. It is also a good idea to use a spreadsheet to keep everybody organized. This will help you keep track of when people are available and whether they have paid yet.

    You may also want to think about creating teams at this point. Do you want to rearrange teams throughout the day or have a tournament with the same teams? If you really want to get into the team spirit, you can discuss team names, uniforms, etc.

    Pick a Package

    After you know how many players are coming, you will want to look into the packages. AC Paintball has two main group packages, the Morning Party or the Afternoon Party. You should ask your guests if they have better availability before or after noon. If most are available before noon, you should go with the morning 9am – 12noon package. If more are available in the afternoon, the afternoon 12noon – 4pm package would work best. With AC Paintball’s group packages, one organizer or celebrant also plays for free.

    Make a Reservation

    Once you know when most of your party is available, you can pick a day and make a reservation. Be sure to check the weather in southern New Jersey before scheduling. If you pick a stormy day, you will likely end up rescheduling.     Prepare for the Event

    Finally, you can plan all the last minute details that will make for a fun event. You can gather extra props, plan refreshments, or create prizes.  Adding small details will help make your event memorable. If you want to be extra helpful, check in with your guests and make sure they have all the gear and supplies they need. You may help them remember to pack an item they almost forgot.     AC Paintball offers comprehensive group packages for a hassle-free day of fun. We provide everything you need to play, including rental gear, equipment, and supplies. Experienced players are welcome to bring their own gear, but that is definitely not required. Trained referees will teach your group how to play and offer tips to make the most of the game. Group members will gain access to the clubhouse to serve food, present gifts if needed, and hang out in between games.

    Group Paintball Events for All Skill Levels

    We welcome groups big and small and can accommodate all sizes and skill levels by offering a range of field types, obstacles, and games. Our speedball field is perfect for tournament style games of 5-20 players per team while our forest field is great for capture the flag style of 40 to hundreds of players.  If you have a smaller group, we can combine you with another group for more playing options or you can choose to play alone.     Red Dawn Woods Field: Play capture the flag style on this standard woodsball field. It is medium-sized and perfect for beginners or those that want a shorter game.

    Blue Thunder Woods Field: Play capture the flag style on this large forest field. It offers two base camps of military-style tents stand 150 yards apart and can accommodate over 100 players. It’s great for intermediate players interested in a longer woodsball game.

    Black Ops Pentagon Woods Field: Play capture the flag style on a forest field with pentagon of military drop tank bunkers at the center. It is a large field that can accommodate over 100 players. It’s perfect for advanced players that want an extended, strategic game.

    White DMZ Woods Field: This is a mid-size forest field available for standard play. We are currently making plans for the White DMZ to feature our most challenging play on site with intense and impressive obstacles.

    Speedball Field: This is a tournament-standardized field suitable for 5-40 players. Tournament style is played in a very small, open space with obstacles and bunkers throughout. Ideal for players that want a short, fast-paced, and high-intensity game.

    Hyperball Fields: This is a smaller version of the speedball field that is suitable for tournament style games as small as 1-on-1.

    Blue Thunder Woods Field

    The Blue Thunder Woods field is a large forest field with an array of obstacles and bunkers. Two base camps of military-style tents stand 150 yards apart. This is a large field with the ability to accommodate over 100 players if needed. It’s a step up from the Red Dawn Field in terms of skill level and great for capture the flag style play.

    “The Pentagon” as it is most often referred to is our most popular field, featuring a pentagon of military drop tank bunkers at the center. It is another large forest field able to accommodate over 100 players and perfect for capture the flag style games. This is the ideal choice for more advanced players or those that enjoy extended, strategic games with plenty of running and hiding.

    White DMZ Woods Field

    The White DMZ Woods Field is our newest forest field. It is medium-sized and currently available for standard play. However, our most intense and impressive obstacles yet will be featured on this field. Advanced players can soon come to the White DMZ for the most challenging play on site.     AC Paintball hosts a speedball and a hyperball field for these style games. The speedball field is tournament-standardized and suitable for 5-40 players. The hyperball field is smaller and can even accommodate 1-on-1 games. Speedball and hyperball differ from woods fields because these are very small, open fields with obstacles and bunkers scattered throughout. Both fields are ideal for those that seek short, fast-paced, and high-intensity games.

    AC Paintball hosts games every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Players of all skill levels are welcome!

  • AC Paintball At the Average Joe Expo May 18-19

    average joe expoThe Average Joe Expo is a collection of all the things a red blooded American likes – cars, bikes, hunting, fishing…you name it and they got it. That’s why we were pumped to be invited to be a part of the event!

    AC Paintball will have a stand with plenty of space for fun and games. We will be featuring a fully functional marker shooting range complete with “unique” targets which you’ll just have to see for yourself. We’ll also have several paintball models on hand…which is just good stuff.

    The Expo is this weekend, Saturday May 18th and Sunday May 19th. To learn more about ticket availability (tickets just $15!) and times visit the Average Joe Expo Website.
