• Deciding What To Wear To Your AC Paintball Game Based On Your Goals

When it comes to an AC Paintball game, there are a variety of different outfits people wear. Every paintball game and every paintball player is different. Therefore, different outfits will likely work better for you at different times. It all depends on what your preferences are, what your goals are, and what the weather is like. There are many different aspects to take into consideration and it can be easy to overlook something. Let AC Paintball near Atlantic City, New Jersey help you with the tips below.

    Basics

Your first concern should always be wearing something appropriate for the activities you will have to perform. In paintball, this means all sorts of physical activity such as running, crouching, crawling, rolling, and more. Be sure that you wear comfortable shoes with good traction. This will help you be more successful while running through AC Paintball’s fields. The clothing you wear should be easy to move in as well. This way, if you need to make a quick movement, as you often do during a paintball game, your clothing won’t hold you back.

    Aesthetics

Another aspect you will want to pay attention to is aesthetics. Sometimes, you may want to use a strategy that involves being hidden. If this is your goal, camouflage will aid you significantly, especially when playing on one of AC Paintball’s wooded fields. If you do not have any camouflage clothing, dark colors are the best option.

On the other hand, some people enjoy wearing bright colors or white because they think it looks cool. However, it also makes you stand out more and you may become targeted more often.  If you want to wear bright colors, playing a game on one of AC Paintball’s speedball courses may be the best option for you as players are more easily seen anyway.

    Material

One aspect that is important during an AC Paintball game is being quiet. You have to minimize noise so you can either avoid or sneak up on your opponents. When it comes to clothing, some materials are noisier than others. If you can hear your clothing rubbing against things as you move around, you will have difficulty accomplishing your paintball goals. Be sure to think ahead and choose a clothing material that doesn’t make a lot of noise.

    Padding

williamstown nj paintballIf you are new to paintball, getting hit can sting a bit. If your muscle tissue is soft, it may bruise. If this concerns you, it is a good idea to wear layers and padding to your AC Paintball game in southern New Jersey. While it may make it a bit more difficult to move, it will help ensure you don’t get hurt.

    Weather

Weather is always a factor that helps determine what you should wear when doing any outdoor activity including paintball. The weather can be pretty unpredictable near Atlantic City, New Jersey too. It is always best to come prepared. If there is any chance of rain, bring a towel and a change of clothing.

Seasons can also play a factor. During summers at AC Paintball, you will likely want to wear short or light clothing. Be sure to bring sunscreen and plenty of water as well. In cooler seasons, it is best to wear layers. Thicker clothing can restrict your ability to move. If you wear layers, you can take the top layer off or put it back on as needed.

    Group Outings and Scenario Games

Sometimes players visit AC Paintball for group outings or scenario games. Many times they make team shirts or brings costumes. If this is your case, you don’t want to forget your shirt or costume. They make for great photos that you can show friends, family, customers, and clients or just keep to look back on later.

  • Arm Strengthening Exercises For Paintball

Paintball is an active sport. When you play a game at AC Paintball, you can expect to do a lot of running, diving, and other movements, all while carrying a marker. You may notice that after a while, your arm gets tired of holding your gun up. This can affect your ability to aim and do other activities that paintball requires.

The best way to make sure you can play the game to the best of your ability is to make sure you are prepared. One way to prepare yourself is to strengthen your arms so they don’t get tired so quickly. To help you do so,  AC Paintball is here to help with these great arm-strengthening exercises!

Remember to Stretch Before Any Workout

Before you start any exercise, it is important to remember to stretch. In this case, you will want to pay extra attention to stretching your upper back, shoulders, and wrists. Don’t forget to stretch other main muscle groups, though. Also, make sure you are properly hydrated.

    Push-Ups and Planks

Many paintball players like to incorporate planks and push-ups into their workout because they strengthen many areas at once. In one movement a push-up engages your chest, shoulders, triceps, hips, and abdominals. Strengthening all of these parts can greatly help you do a variety of movements that paintball includes. It can help with holding different positions while trying to aim as well as running across the AC Paintball field.

    Pull-Ups

Pull-ups help strengthen your upper back, shoulders, forearms, and biceps. Strengthening these areas will aid you in carrying and holding up your marker for long periods of time. If your AC Paintball game requires you to crawl, you may also find crawling easier if you use pull-ups in your regular workout.

    Weightlifting

Weightlifting is a classic way that many athletes use to strengthen their back, shoulder, and arm muscles. There are a variety of movements you can use to strengthen all of the muscles in your arms. Even if you don’t own dumbbells, you can likely find some objects around your home that you can lift instead.

    Medicine Balls and Resistance Bands

Like weights, there are many different exercises you can do with medicine balls or resistance bands. These tools will help you strengthen more than just your arms; they will help you strengthen your legs and core as well.

Some exercise you can do with the medicine ball is throwing it, lifting it in various ways, or moving it back and forth across your body while you sit on the floor with your legs raised. With the resistance band, you can attach it to something and pull, or try doing some yoga poses with it.

Create an Exercise Plan To Motivate You

Finally, create an exercise plan that you can use on a regular basis. Doing so will help you maintain focus so you can keep yourself motivated. If you want to, you can focus on different areas of your body on each different day of the week.

Another technique that will help you stay motivated is finding a way to track your progress. For instance, you can keep a mark for how far you can throw a medicine ball. Over time you will find that your arms don’t get tired as quickly and will help you perform better during your AC Paintball game. This will keep you motivated to keep improving so you can become a better paintball player.

    Eating & Drinking

The night before a game, you will want to stock up on carbohydrates and add a small amount of protein. This will give you the energy to play long games of paintball. It’s better not to eat a lot, if anything, right before the game. Doing so may make you feel sluggish. If you do feel the need to eat something the before the game, try to do so at least three hours beforehand. Make sure it is light and doesn’t weigh you down. Some athletes like to drink protein shakes before a game.

Also, be sure to hydrate and drink lots of fluids. Water helps regulate your body temperature and lubricates your joints. All of AC Paintball’s fields are outdoors and in New Jersey summers are hot. If you aren’t properly hydrated, you won’t be able to perform to the best of your ability. Dehydration can also cause cramps or make you feel dizzy.

    Start Light

When warming up, you should start out light. Start with simple dynamic exercises, and then gradually increase your range of movement. Start by jogging for a lap or two around one of the AC Paintball’s courses. If you don’t want to run a lap, you can just find a large open area and jog back and forth. After that, start stretching your muscles and joints out a bit more. You can do some high knees, kickbacks, arm swings, lunges, and calf raises. Do each for about a quarter of a lap.

Knee Highs – While stepping, bring up your knees up as high as you can.

Butt Kicks – Make running motion while bringing you heal up to your glutes.

Kickbacks – Get on your hands and knees with back flat. Extend one leg out behind you and hold for a few seconds.

Arm Swings – Swing your arms in circles and alternate directions.

Lunges – Step out far and lower your hips until both legs are at a 90-degree angle.

Calf Raises – Standing normally, go up on your toes, and hold for a few seconds. Then return to normal standing position.

    Get Your Blood Pumping

Now it’s time for more vigorous activity. At this point, you can start sprinting. If you want to, you can alternate between sprinting and jogging. This way, you don’t wear yourself out before the game even begins. After that, you can do some more intense maneuvers such as squats, jumping jacks, side shuffles, grapevines, skips, and suicides.  Complete about 10 – 20 reps for each.

Squats – Start with legs about shoulder length apart and make a sitting motion.

Jumping Jacks – Jump while moving your legs in and out and arms up and down.

Side Shuffles – Make choppy, lateral steps while moving sideways.

Grapevines – Run sideways while moving your legs in a crisscross pattern.

Skips – Jump while lifting knees high, moving forward.

Suicides – Sprint back and forth increasing your distance each time. Each time you reach a specific distance, touch the ground.

    Stretches

If you feel stiff or have been injured recently, you may want to add stretching to your warm up routine. Many argue that stretching hasn’t been proven to reduce injury or flexibility. Yet, static stretches can help in a variety of ways.  Stretching helps alleviate cramps, improve your muscle elasticity, and increase your range of motion. It can also make you feel more flexible with more control over your body. If you are nervous, it can also be therapeutic and help you calm down.  You can stretch both before and after your game at AC Paintball.

    Frontman/Pointman/Scout Unit

The frontman should have a small and light-weight marker that can easily be carried while running. If you rent a gun from AC Paintball, the Valken V-Tac SW-1 is the lightest and shortest offered. A frontman typically does the least amount of shooting. They may only need enough ammo and air to defend themselves.

Good running shoes and clothing that is easy to move in should be the main focus for a frontman. They will be sprinting ahead into the battle zone and need to be able to move well. A walkie talkie can also be helpful for communicating with the back end. The two positions can discuss strategy and warn each other of danger.

    Infantry

The infantry should have markers that can shoot paint at mid-long range. This will help them knock out the enemy and defend their frontman. They should prepare for a lot of shooting with a large supply of paint. If you plan on playing many games or for a long time, you may want to consider purchasing a case of 2000 paintballs from AC Paintball. A large air tank can also ensure that you have power for shooting throughout the game. When planning a uniform, camouflage can be a helpful tool. Staying hidden can help you take out your opponent before they spot you.

    Mid Player/Floater/Roamer

A floater needs to do the most planning as they may end up filling in for other positions. A well-rounded marker would be the best option for a mid-player. Their marker choice should be light enough to carry, but they do not want to sacrifice range and accuracy. Either marker offered by AC Paintball would make a decent choice.

A mid-player will need a medium-large supply of paintballs depending on what player they may replace. You will also want a medium-large supply of air. To make movement easier, some players like to use paintball guns with remote lines. They carry their air tank on their back to free. Like the frontman, a roamer may end up doing a lot of running. With this in mind, choosing good running shoes and clothing is a must.

    Backman/Rear

Backmen do the most shooting and thus need an accurate gun that can handle a lot of fast shooting. If you plan on renting from AC Paintball, the Valken V-Tac SW-1 has less of a recoil. This can help when firing many shots.  They will also need the largest load of paintballs and a backup air tank.

To carry many rounds worth of supplies, you will definitely want to bring a harness or backpack. If your team brings limited walkie talkies, the backman should definitely receive one. They will likely have the best view of the field and can warn the players ahead of them. Captains often end up at the rear and should have a good way of communicating with the rest of their team.

    Sniper Unit

The most important aspect for a sniper to think about when selecting a gun that is accurate. They should select a long range gun with a longer than average barrel. Optics or a scope can help in finding and targeting your opponent. Binoculars work as a good alternative. The sniper does not move as much as the other players and thus can afford to carry more supplies. It is a good idea to wear camouflaged clothing that does not make a lot of noise while moving. This will allow you to be stealthy when trying to target and unsuspecting player.
