• Paintball Stealth Tips

Your first goal when playing paintball should be to avoid getting hit. To accomplish this goal, you need to know how to be stealthy. It is important to know how to hide and how to move so you can stay in the game as well as sneak up on opponents.

Ensuring both you and your team know how to be stealthy can make a big difference during your AC Paintball game. If everyone knows how to be stealthy you can keep more of your team in the game for longer. When your team has more players in the than your opponents, you have a better chance of winning the game. Be sure to share these tips with your teammates before your AC Paintball game in southern New Jersey!

    Rule #1: Stay Quiet

The first rule of stealth is to stay quiet. Noise alerts your opponents and helps them figure out where you are. If you don’t know where they are, this will give them the advantage.

There are many aspects to think about when it comes to being quiet. You should figure out how to move quietly. You should figure out how to communicate with your team without talking loudly. You should also make sure your equipment is quiet.

    Moving Around

Roll Your Foot On the Ground

It is difficult to move in complete silence, but there are many ways you can lessen the amount of noise you make. If your foot hits the ground hard, it will make a loud thump. However, if you move slowly and roll your foot on the outer edge while you walk, it will make less noise. Make sure your heel touches the ground first.

What If I Do Make Noise?

There will likely be times when you step on a leaf or brush up against foliage and make noise. If this does happen to you while playing at AC Paintball, it is important to know how to recover. The first step is to figure out if any of your opponents have noticed you. If they do and start shooting, you can either shoot back or run. If no one notices you, it may be better to slowly and quietly take better cover. When there is no foliage or bunkers available, move closer to the ground.

    AC Paintball’s Woodsball Fields

If you choose to play on one of AC Paintball’s woodsball fields, it will be more difficult to stay quiet. There will likely be dead leaves on the ground and other foliage that will make noise. When moving, try to choose pathways that have fewer leaves or trees. You don’t want to accidentally run into something and give your position away.

    Communicate

It can be tough to communicate with others while trying to be stealthy. You can’t yell across the field or clap to get their attention. Instead, you will have to use quieter methods. For instance, you can use hand signals or Walkie-Talkies. If it is convenient, you can also have some designated messengers to spread messages around the field. Be sure to create a communication plan before your AC Paintball game begins. This way everyone knows what they are doing.

    Adjust to the Weather

Yet another aspect you should take into consideration when you need to be stealthy is the weather. If it rains, the ground will be slippery and make it difficult to move. In this case, it is a good idea to move slowly. However, rain also makes noise that can distract from any sounds you may make. Be sure to think about the weather before your AC Paintball game. Then figure out what advantages you can take and what disadvantages the weather conditions may pose.

    Choose the Right Gear

The wrong clothing can be a nightmare when trying to be stealthy at AC Paintball. If your clothing makes noise when you walk, it will be easy for your opponents to target you.

It is also important to wear clothing that is easy to move in. Sneakers or combat boots are best for running through AC Paintball’s fields. You will also want to wear an outfit that is easy to move in. Jean can be restrictive or dig into you when you try to move into different positions. Camouflage or dark colored clothing is also a good choice when playing Woodsball. Bright colors will make you stand out more.

    Choosing When to Take Action

    Distance

Finally, you should know when to take action and when to stay put. Mastering this skill requires practice and experience, but there are some tips to provide. For instance, you will want to think about how far away a target is before shooting. If you want to improve your chances of hitting your target, be patient and wait for them to get closer to you.

    Numbers

Another example would be judging numbers. How many of your teammates are nearby and how many opponents are in the area. There is strength in numbers. You will want to consider this fact before you may a move.

    Take Chances

There will definitely some instances where you will find it better to stay put. However, if you don’t take chances, you may not get anything accomplished. Try to stay on the move and bounce from bunker to bunker. This will help you avoid getting cornered with nowhere to go. You can find more tips throughout AC Paintball’s blog.

  • AC Paintball Trip Planning Guide

DSC06452So, you’re thinking about taking a trip to AC Paintball in southern New Jersey. You are in for a fun time, but first, you should do a bit of planning. You want to make sure you know what to expect and have everything you need to make your trip great. If you have never been to AC Paintball before, you may not know what to expect or what to bring. Therefore, we have compiled this guide of tips and tricks to help you prepare for your trip.

    Pick A Day

The first step you need to take care of is picking a day and scheduling your visit. If you are visiting with other friends and family, be sure to check which days everyone is free. You will also want to decide if you rather do a morning session or an evening session. Then you can go to AC Paintball’s website and book your game here: https://acpaintball.com/schedule-paintball-game/.

    Travelling

Then you will want to plan for traveling. Does everyone know how to get there? How long will it take each person to get there? Does anyone need a ride? These are all things you will want to consider to make sure everyone gets there on time.

    What to Wear

When deciding what to wear make sure to watch the weather and prepare appropriately. For the most part, you will want to wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in. You will also want to wear shoes that have good traction and are easy to run in. Sneakers are the most popular choice. If it is supposed to rain, you may want to bring extra clothing to change into after your AC Paintball game.

    Things to Bring

You will want to make sure you have everything you need for the day. One of the most important things is water. You will likely sweat a lot and need to replace the water in your body. It is also a good idea to bring some snacks in case you start to feel low on energy.

Sunscreen is important for summer games. You don’t want to get hit with a paintball if your skin is sunburnt. A towel can help you dry off both yourself and your equipment. Keeping your equipment dry will help you grip it properly so you can play better.

    young-man-1281295_960_720Mental Preparation

If you are new to paintball, the fact that paintballs will be flying toward you at high speeds can be a bit intimidating. If you are a bit nervous you may need to prepare yourself mentally for your AC Paintball game. There are a variety of ways you can accomplish this. You can listen to a song that inspires you, give yourself positive affirmations, or just try not to think about it too much. Most times, overthinking things will only make you more nervous.

Even if you have played before, you will want to get yourself pumped up for the game. You can use the techniques listed above to start, but another technique you may want to consider is walking the field. Once you arrive at AC Paintball, walk around the field and get to know where everything is. Picture yourself playing and try to get in the right mindset.

    Physical Preparation

Nobody wants to get hurt while playing at AC Paintball. The best way to avoid injury is to properly prepare your body. Before you leave your home, make sure you eat healthily to ensure you have the energy to make it through the day. Then, once you arrive at AC Paintball, you will want to stretch and warm up. This will make sure you don’t pull a muscle and that you are able to move about in different ways.

If you plan on playing at AC Paintball more often than just one time, you can also work on building up your muscles at home. When you build up your muscles, getting hit will hurt less, and you will be able to endure games more easily.

    What to Expect

  • Small Group Paintball vs. Large Group Paintball

summer paintball bachelor partyPaintball is a very adaptable game. As long as you aren’t playing an official tournament, you can pretty much change the rules, game, and winning conditions however you want. You can also adapt the game based on the number of players you have.

An AC Paintball game can change a lot based on the number of players. Therefore, you will want to choose how many people you choose to invite carefully. Here are some comparisons to help you decide if you rather play with a small group or a large group.

    Organization

Every trip to AC Paintball in southern New Jersey takes some level of planning. You need to figure out what days everyone is free, figure out how everyone is getting there, and make sure everyone knows how to prepare for the trip. The more people you have in your group, the more difficult this task will become.

If you are good at organizing trips and enjoy it, you can easily consider hosting a large group trip to AC Paintball. If organizing is not your forte, however, you may want to find someone who is willing to help you or just stick to small group games.

    Evening Out the Teams

Another part of planning is making sure the teams are even. It is a good idea to figure out the skill level of each member of your party and divide up the players so each team is evenly matched. This will help make your AC Paintball game more fun for everyone.

There are positives and negatives for both group sizes in this aspect. A group of four can be difficult to make even if one player has a lot of experience and the other three don’t. However, if two people are experienced, it is simple to put one experienced member on each team. On the other hand, a large group can be difficult to divide evenly because it is hard to judge every single player’s skill level beforehand.  However, you have a better chance of randomly placing skilled players on both teams.

    Game  Length and Speed

The number of players can also affect the speed of the game. The more people that have to be eliminated, the longer your game will take. Keep in mind that longer games can be fun for those still playing, but can get boring for those who have been eliminated early in the game. Also, long games can be more fun, but also more tiring. Be sure to choose the right AC Paintball field and game type to keep your games at an appropriate length.

    Strategizing

DSC06655Your strategy will also be affected based on how large your team is. Take movement, as an example. If you have a lot of players, you can travel in groups so that teammates can help protect one another. However, if you have a small team, it is probably safer for each player to travel individually to cover more ground.

Larger teams also mean you have more opponents to eliminate. Your AC Paintball game can quickly become a game of numbers. A team of two doesn’t have much chance of winning against a team of six. Therefore, you may want to use a strategy that works to eliminate as many opponents as quickly as possible.

    Communication

Communication is also part of the strategy and you should keep this in mind. If you have a large group, you should come up with a system that makes it easier for everyone to communicate with each other. If even one person doesn’t get the message, it can mess up the rest of your game plan.

With a small group, you have fewer people to worry about getting the message to, but it can also be more difficult to communicate at long distances. Unlike large groups, you don’t have as many players who can drop what they are doing to focus on spreading a message to the other teammates.  Be sure to keep this in mind when choosing the size of your group and what AC Paintball field you choose.

  • Choosing a Paintball Marker That Complements Your Style

pump paintball gunThere are many different aspects to consider when choosing the marker you want to use for your AC Paintball game. This includes if you want to rent or buy your own gun, the game you are playing, what position you are playing, and more.

Yet, what if you are looking for a regular use marker and not just one you are going to use for a specific game or day? In this case, you should look for a marker that complements your style. How do you accomplish this? AC Paintball is here to help with these tips.

How Much Do You Like To Shoot?

Some players take their time to aim and shoot so they can conserve paintballs by hitting their target on the first shot. Other players prefer to take rapid shots. Unfortunately, some markers have more of a recoil. This affects where you have your marker aimed after the first shot is fired.

If you are someone who prefers to take multiple shots quickly, you will want to look for a marker that doesn’t have as much of a recoil. However, if you enjoy trying to hit your target with a single shot, you may want to focus on other features such as distance, weight, and aesthetics.

    Endurance Vs. Power

When you play paintball, do you move around the field a lot or do you stay in the same area? If you are always on the move, you will want to choose a lighter weight marker. This will help you endure carrying it around during lengthy games at AC Paintball.

If you are more of a sniper who likes to stay in the same area, you should focus on power. The marker may be a bit heavier, but it will be able to shoot more accurately at targets that are far away.

    tippmann-a5-300x300Aesthetics

Many players would love to have a flashy marker that they can show off to their friends. Yet, if you want to play in AC Paintball’s wooded fields, a basic camouflage pattern or dark color will help you hide from your opponents.

If you prefer a fast-paced speedball game, though, you can go for a flashy marker. You can choose your favorite color or personalize it in a variety of ways to make it yours. You can also make an AC Paintball scenario paintball game more fun by customizing your marker to look more like the one your character uses.

    Rules

There are many different types of paintball markers out there and different facilities have rules to regulate which ones you can use. At AC Paintball in southern New Jersey safety is a priority. The maximum velocity we allow is 280 fps and your marker cannot be fully automatic.

    Price

One of the most important aspects players pay attention to is the price. If you plan on buying your own marker, it is a good idea to do some research and set a budget before making your purchase. It can be easy to get caught up in wanting to buy the best gun or overwhelmed by your options. Go to the store with a plan.

If you don’t want to buy your own marker, AC Paintball offers two different models to rent. The first is the Tippmann Custom 98 Marker. The other option is a Valken V-Tac SW-1 Marker. Both of these models are $10 to rent at AC Paintball.

Need More Help? Talk to Your Friends at AC Paintball

If you need more help deciding which paintball marker to buy, your friends at AC Paintball would be happy to help. Both out staff members and regular players can give you some advice to send you in the right direction.

  • Basic Dos and Don’ts of Paintball

DSC06605When it comes to playing paintball, there are many different dos and don’ts that you should be aware of. Knowing what to do can help you positively contribute to the game. Knowing what not to do will help you avoid mistakes or accidents that will negatively affect your AC Paintball game. To help you learn what you should and should not be doing, check out these AC Paintball tips.

DO Pay Attention to Rules and Safety

AC Paintball has rules put in place for your safety. We want all of our players to enjoy their paintball experience and not have to worry about reckless opponents. Therefore, we encourage you to pay close attention to the rules and safety briefing before your game and read the rules page on our website.

DON’T Assume You Know The Rules and How To Be Safe

If you have played before and heard our speech, you may be tempted to not pay attention or continue to talk to your friend. However, if you talk, other people may not be able to hear the rules or you may miss a new rule that has been added or changed. Remember to be respectful when visiting AC Paintball.

    stretching-2307890_960_720DO Warm Up

Not only does stretching feel good, but it warms up your muscles so you can play well during your AC Paintball game. Check out AC Paintball’s blog for tips on how to warm up properly.

    DON’T Forget to Stretch

When you skip your warm up, however, you risk pulling a muscle. You may also lack agility and find it difficult to move. Paintball is a very physical sport and it is important to be able to run, jump, crouch, dive, and perform other movements without any issue.

DO Ask Questions, Make Suggestions, and Talk To Your Team

The better your team communicates and the more everyone is on the same page, the better your chances will be of winning the game. If you don’t know something, ask. Don’t be afraid to look stupid. It’s better to correct the misunderstanding before your AC Paintball game that it would be to make mistakes during the game. Feel free to make suggestions as well!

DON’T Exclude Yourself From Your Team

If you disagree with your team, it may be tempting to rebel and use go off and do your own thing. This will most likely just lead to a game that is not as fun for both you and your team. Be friendly, join in the fun, and ask others to join in the fun as well.

DO Take Your Time To Aim

AC Paintball games can get pretty intense at times. You may think you need to shoot as fast as you can to ensure you hit your opponent before they hit you. While it is true that you need to work fast, taking the time to aim is important.

    DON’T Shoot Without Aiming

If you don’t aim, you will likely miss and your opponent will hit you anyway. When you don’t aim, you also risk injuring someone by accident.

    paintball-1282158_960_720DO Keep Moving

The main object of paintball is to eliminate opponents by hitting them with paintballs. Your opponents will try to hit you at the same time you try to hit them. One of the best ways to be defensive is to keep moving. It is harder to hit a moving target than it is to hit someone who is standing still.

DON’T Stay In The Same Place

With this in mind, you will want to avoid staying in the same place for too long. If you hide behind the same bunker for more than a minute or two, your opponents may surround you until you are cornered. Then there will be little chance of you getting away without being eliminated.

    DO Support Your Teammates

People more driven to play and often perform better when they feel appreciated. Complimenting or congratulating your teammates on a job well done is a great way to show your team you are glad to be playing with them. Also, be sure to provide backup for them when they are trying to accomplish an important role during the AC Paintball game.

DON’T Be Mean To Your Opponents

Just because you are trying to win the game, doesn’t mean you should be rude to your opponents. A little teasing and friendly competition is fine if both parties are having fun contributing to banter, but be careful not to take it too far. You want to keep your AC Paintball game fun for everyone.

DO Come Back and Visit AC Paintball Again!

AC Paintball in southern New Jersey is always happy to help you host a friendly game, party, or celebration. We encourage you to continue to visit our facility and introduce your friends and family to paintball.

  • 7 Ways to Practice and Improve Your Paintball Game At Home

paintball-girl-1748134_960_720If you want to be a great paintball player, you need to practice. If you are an experienced player, you may still want to practice your skills on days you can’t make it out to AC Paintball in southern New Jersey to practice your skills. If you are a beginner, you may want to improve your skills before you play more experienced players at AC Paintball. No matter what your reasoning, there are multiple ways you can improve your skills at home, even if you can’t make it to AC Paintball.

Set Up a Target Practice (If You Have Space and Equipment)

Aiming is one of the most important aspects of paintball. If you can’t hit your target, they will likely hit you. If you have a large yard and some equipment, you can set up some target practice. Just make sure there are no restrictions where you live and make sure your family, friends, and pets stay out of your way and are safe.

Try to hit your target with just one shot. This will help you make sure you hit your opponents out before they eliminate you and help you save ammo so you can play for a longer period of time at AC Paintball.

    Practice Snap Shooting

One common way that experienced players practice when they can’t make it to AC Paintball, is snap shooting. Practice popping out from behind a bunker, shooting, then snapping back behind the bunker to hide. Be sure to learn the proper technique. Doing so will help you have a low profile for your opponents to hit you when you pop out.

Use a Mirror to Practice Your Stance and Movement

Using a mirror can help you practice your snap shooting as well as a variety of other aspects of paintball. If you have a large mirror and a large obstacle you can watch yourself and figure out how to improve.

Some other aspects you can practice include posture and movement. Believe it or not, having the right posture and movement can greatly improve your game. Check out this AC Paintball blog for tips on shooting posture and movement, https://acpaintball.com/2017/08/16/ac-paintballs-tips-for-shooting/.

    Improve Your Physical Fitness

If you and your friends are having lots of fun, you can spend the whole day at AC Paintball. With this in mind, you need to be in good shape and have good endurance, especially if you are playing on one of AC Paintball’s larger fields.

While at home do plenty of cardio and endurance exercises like jogging, sprinting, suicides, and more. Once you improve your endurance, you can add padding or carry weights to make your exercises more like an AC Paintball experience.

    Practice Using Your Opposite Hand

One useful skill to have when playing at AC Paintball is the ability to use both hands. This ability allows you to accurately shoot no matter where you are positioned. While at home, you can practice using your opposite hand for everyday tasks such as eating, writing, opening doors, and more. Once you get talented with this ability, you will become a more valuable player.

    meditation-1287207_960_720Practice Focusing and Visualizing

There are ways you can practice your paintball skills without even having to move. Visualization is a popular technique both amateur and professional athletes use to improve their game and skills.

Find a quiet place and visualize various parts of a paintball game. You can imagine yourself playing different positions, see various situations, and think about how to handle the adrenaline and various obstacles. If you know how to solve a problem beforehand, you will know exactly what to do during a game. Visualization can help improve your confidence and improve your focus during your AC Paintball game.

    Research Tips, Tricks, and Strategies

Whether you are an amateur or a professional, there is always something new you can learn about paintball. When you have free time, it is a good idea to research various tips and tricks. This can improve your paintball knowledge and wisdom. Some people may think sports are all physical abilities and skills, but a large part of sports, including paintball, is actually strategizing and using your knowledge.

Some good ways to learn more about paintball is to read AC Paintball’s blog and other articles. You can do so here, https://acpaintball.com/blog/. You can also watch videos or talk to other players and staff at AC Paintball in Williamstown, New Jersey. The more you learn, the better player you will become.

  • Tips to Help You Predict Your Opponent’s Plans

paintball-1961040_960_720What is one of the best ways to gain the upper hand on your opponents? If you can predict what they are planning ahead of time, you can figure out a way to turn the game in your favor. You can avoid their ambushes, you can corner them, you can stop their runner before they capture the flag, and much more.

Strategizing is a large part of paintball. If you can outthink your opponents, you can greatly improve your chances of winning. If you want to learn some tips and tricks to figure out what your opponents are planning, AC Paintball in southern New Jersey is here to help.

Think About What You Would Do In Their Situation

Put yourself in your opponent’s shoes. If you were in the same situation as they are, think about what you would do. Many times, what you would do is also what they are thinking about doing. Once you have an idea of what moves they may pull, or what strategy they will use, you can figure out how to reverse their plan to work in your favor.

For instance, if they see that you are waiting for them to come out from behind a bunker, they may decide to just stay behind the bunker so they are safe. However, you can gain the upper hand by signaling a teammate to go around behind so that the opponent is surrounded.

Pay Attention to What They Do In Other Games

People have habits, even when it comes to sports. Chances are if you notice a player doing something multiple times in one AC Paintball game, they will continue to do the same in other games. Use this information to your advantage.

For instance, if you are playing on one of AC Paintball’s wooded course and you can’t find them during the game, they may think they found a good hiding spot. They may continue to use that same spot until it stops working for them. If you can figure out where that spot is and surround them, you can force them to change their plans and put them on the run.

Watch Them From A Safe Place

Sometimes when you are moving around and constantly watching your back, you don’t have the focus or mind frame to try and figure out what your opponents are planning. If you are playing on one of AC Paintballs speedball fields, you may not be able to find a safe place to stop for a minute and observe. However, if you are playing on one of AC Paintball’s larger woodsball fields, you may have time to do so.

1024px-thumbnailObserve things like their body language, how fast they are moving, and what direction they are moving. Do your best to figure out what they are doing. If you can easily eliminate them and you feel it is the best option, do so. If not, communicate with the rest of your team so they can decide what the next step should be. Just be careful not to stay in the same spot for too long. If one of your opponents is watching you, they may also be forming a plan to surround and eliminate you.

Watch the AC Paintball Game Marshall

An AC Paintball game marshall’s job is to fairly judge the game. This means getting closer to the action to get a better view. Knowing this can actually help you during your AC Paintball game. AC Paintball refs have seen many games and know how to observe patterns. They are fairly accurate at predicting when someone is going to fire. Therefore, if you watch the marshall, you may be able to tell what your opponents are up to. If a marshall comes near you during a game and you don’t notice opponents in the area, you may want to take a second look around.

Stay On Your Toes and Be Ready To Adapt

If your opponents put you in a tricky situation, you need to be ready to adapt. What you predict their actions will be, will not always turn out to be 100% accurate. Sometimes they will take the upper hand and put you on the run. However, you can combat this type of issue by improving your ability to think on your feet and adapt. The better you get at this skill, the better your chances will be of staying in the game.

    Capitalize on Unexpected Advantages

Don’t be afraid to capitalize on unexpected advantages. While you want to keep the game honest and fair, you will also want to give your team the advantage whenever you can. Luck and chance are part of the game. If you don’t take advantage of certain situations, you may not give your team the game turning point they are looking for. Taking chances can be the difference between a win and a loss. However, if you are still concerned about unfair tricks, discuss the rules with everyone before your AC Paintball game. This way everyone can be on the same page.

  • Tips to Avoid Getting Eliminated

texture3If you had to explain paintball in the simplest form possible, you would likely tell someone two rules: eliminate your opponents by hitting them with paintballs and don’t get hit yourself. While countless players will give you tips on how to aim and hit your opponents, it is also important to remember that avoiding getting hit is also a large part of the game. To help you avoid getting hit AC Paintball in southern New Jersey has compiled this list of helpful tips to help you avoid elimination.

Analyze How Important You Are In the Game

The first aspect you will want to think about is how important it is for you to stay in the game. If your team is low on players left or if you are playing a certain position, you will want to be more careful not to get hit. However, if your team has the upper hand, you may be more willing to sacrifice yourself by pulling off a risky move that will help lead your team to a win.

    Be Stealthy When Moving

Probably the most obvious way to avoid getting hit is to be stealthy. If you draw too much attention toward yourself, you will become a target for one or more of your opponents. When you move, try to make as little noise as possible. This can be difficult when playing on one of AC Paintball’s wooded fields. Unless you know someone will spot you, walk slowly and walk heel-to-toe. Walking sideways may also be helpful. Plan your path out ahead of time and chose dirt or grass paths over areas with leaves, twigs, and other foliage.

    Keep Moving

Not only will you want to be stealthy while moving, but you will want to keep moving. If you choose to stay in the same spot for too long, there is a chance that your opponents will be able to surround you or corner you. Then you will have nowhere to go and it will be more difficult to avoid elimination.

Staying in motion is also helpful when you know someone is trying to eliminate you. It is more difficult to hit a moving target than it is to hit a still target. Try to be unpredictable with your movement and you may just avoid getting eliminated from your AC Paintball game.

    Use the Bunkers

hiddenshotAs you continue to move, it is a good strategy to choose a path and hop from bunker to bunker. At AC Paintball the positions of the bunkers are carefully thought out for players to use strategically. If you study the field before the game, you may notice a good path you can take during the game and use it to your advantage. Wear Camouflage

Another way to be stealthy is to camouflage yourself, especially when playing on one of AC Paintball wooded fields. Bright colors will stick out against your surroundings and make it easier for your opponents to spot you when you are trying to hide. Pay attention to your equipment as well, if your outfit is camouflage, but your mask, marker or sneakers are bright, they may still give you away. If you can’t find camouflage equipment, choose black or another dark color.

Be Quick and Eliminate Opponents Before They Eliminate You

Another way to ensure you stay in the game is by eliminating your opponents before they shoot you. While it is good to try to hide and avoid getting hit, if you don’t be aggressive at all, you won’t make any progress. Without you seeking out your opponents to eliminate them as well, it just becomes a more intense version of hide-and-seek.

Awareness of your surroundings is an important aspect in paintball. You need to be able to anticipate your opponent’s in the area so you can be ready to shoot them before they get you. When you have free time, practice your reaction time and awareness so you can do well during your next AC Paintball game.

  • Halloween Twists to Add to Your October Paintball Party

raven-988218_960_720Halloween is just around the corner. If you are planning on booking a party at AC Paintball sometime soon, you may want to consider adding a Halloween theme to make things a bit more interesting. There are multiple ways you can make your AC Paintball party a bit more festive. All it takes is a bit of research for ideas, a little initiative to make it happen, and some good friends to make your party fun.

To help you get started planning, AC Paintball in southern New Jersey has compiled this list of spooky and fun ways you can incorporate a Halloween theme into your paintball game.

    Costumes

Halloween is a time to dress up as one of your favorite characters. You can do the same for your AC Paintball game. You can dress up as zombies, ghosts, monsters or almost anything you want. Doing so can help add some authenticity to a scenario game or just make things more entertaining.

There are a few aspects you will want to take into consideration when choosing your costume. Paintball is a game that requires a lot of movement. Whatever you decide to wear, you should be able to move around easily. Before leaving for AC Paintball be sure to test that you can run, jump, crouch, and move your arms in all directions. Pay attention to footwear as well. Sneakers are often the best option. Checking the weather and preparing appropriately will also be helpful.

    Games

A large part of your AC Paintball experience is choosing which type of game you want to play. There are multiple basic games to play and even more ways to tweak them. For instance, if you wanted to make capture-the-flag more Halloween themed, you could use a witches broomstick instead of a flag.

You could also create your own game based on trick-or-treating where you go around collecting candy or tokens and try to collect as much as you can before getting eliminated. Whoever collects the most wins. You could even set up a scenario paintball game based on your favorite Halloween or horror movie. Just get together with your friends and brainstorm some ideas. You are sure to come up with something great!

    Awards

female paintball playerOne way to make any AC Paintball more exciting is to give awards to your guests. Awards give people something to play for. It also gives them something to take home with them to remember your party. They will likely show it to their friends later and tell them all about the fun they had. It is a simple way to make your party a little more special and memorable.

With some brainstorming, you can think of some great Halloween-themed award titles. For instance, you can make a “Count” Dracula award for the person who eliminates the most opponents or has the highest kill “count.” Since werewolves are typically loud and howl at the moon, you could make a werewolf award for the best communicator on the field. A ghost award would be a great title for the best hider or the player who is the best at avoiding getting hit.

    Snacks

After a few intense games at AC Paintball, your guests are going to want some snacks to refuel and gain more energy for more games. While it is easy to go crazy with the sweets at Halloween time, be sure to prepare some healthy foods. Oranges or tangerines can pose as small pumpkins with a bit of imagination. Grapes can be turned into eyeballs. You can also add stickers or paper cutouts to bags filled with various snacks.

Once you cover healthy snacks, you can add some tastier and less healthy snacks as a reward. You can use a Halloween cookie cutter to make cookies or rice crispy treats. You can cover cupcakes, pretzels, or other goodies with black, orange, and purple sprinkles.
