    Know Your Team and Choose Positions Carefully

    The best way to start any AC Paintball game is by getting to know your team. Figure out what each player’s skills are and put them in positions they can excel at. If you already know most of your team, this task is fairly easy to accomplish. However, if you are playing with many new people you may need to figure out a way to do this quickly so you can get on with your AC Paintball game.

    One way you can try to accomplish this is by asking your teammates what they would like to do. You can also ask them what their best skill is and place them in positions accordingly. If they have good aim and are good at hiding, make them a sniper. If they are a fast runner, put them at the front of the group. If they are good at adapting to different situations, put them somewhere in the middle.  

    Plan Out Movements Ahead of Time

    Once you have your team in positions, figure out how your team will move. AC Paintball’s wooded fields are large, so it makes sense to spread out and utilize the space. It is also a good idea to stay off the main paths as this can make your team an easy target for ambushes from your opponents.

    Once your AC Paintball game starts, having your front runners continually push to advance on your enemy is a good way to gain the upper hand. Have your snipers go to strategic areas where you think they will be useful. Have the middlemen spread out and in a place where they can easily and safely communicate between the frontmen and backmen. Finally, make sure the backmen are in a place where they can help aid or defend those in front of them.

    Have A Backup Plan or Reactive Strategy

    There is no guarantee that your original plan will work. If one of your teammates makes a mistake or if your opponents use a strategy that gives them the upper hand, your team needs to know how to react. If your team doesn’t know where to go or what to do, there is a good chance your AC Paintball opponents will start eliminating players quickly. To avoid this, make sure your team formulates a reactive plan before your AC Paintball game begins. Then make sure each player knows what they are supposed to do in various situations.

    Focus On Teamwork

    Your ability to work together as a team can be even more important for an AC Paintball woodsball game than it is for a speedball game. In speedball, the teams and fields are usually small. This makes it easy to communicate and allows you to think a bit more individually. In an AC Paintball woodsball game, however, you have a larger field and more people. This makes it more of a group effort to win the game.

    During an AC Paintball game, it is important to stay quiet. If you are constantly yelling, your opponents will know where you are and be able to eliminate you more easily.     Shoot Faster and More Consistently

    You’ve likely gotten good at shooting and aiming quickly and consistently with your dominant hand. Having the ability to use your left hand in this type of situation will allow you to accurately target your opponent while still staying mostly covered.     Keep Arms Getting Tired

    If you are your paintball group plays a lot of intense games, your arms can get pretty tired by the end of your AC Paintball session. This fact is especially true if you are only good at using one arm. When you learn to use both hands, you can switch back and forth so your arm doesn’t get tired as quickly.

    Think More Efficiently

    Think about the last time you tried to use your non-dominant hand for daily activities that your dominant hand does with ease. You likely had to concentrate a lot more and may have been a bit shaky.

    Your first goal when playing paintball should be to avoid getting hit. To accomplish this goal, you need to know how to be stealthy. It is important to know how to hide and how to move so you can stay in the game as well as sneak up on opponents.

    Ensuring both you and your team know how to be stealthy can make a big difference during your AC Paintball game. If everyone knows how to be stealthy you can keep more of your team in the game for longer. When your team has more players in the than your opponents, you have a better chance of winning the game.     Rule #1: Stay Quiet

    The first rule of stealth is to stay quiet. Noise alerts your opponents and helps them figure out where you are. If you don’t know where they are, this will give them the advantage.

    There are many aspects to think about when it comes to being quiet. You should figure out how to move quietly. You should figure out how to communicate with your team without talking loudly. You should also make sure your equipment is quiet.

    Moving Around

    Roll Your Foot On the Ground

    It is difficult to move in complete silence, but there are many ways you can lessen the amount of noise you make. If your foot hits the ground hard, it will make a loud thump. However, if you move slowly and roll your foot on the outer edge while you walk, it will make less noise. Make sure your heel touches the ground first.  

    What If I Do Make Noise?

    There will likely be times when you step on a leaf or brush up against foliage and make noise. If this does happen to you while playing at AC Paintball, it is important to know how to recover. The first step is to figure out if any of your opponents have noticed you. If they do and start shooting, you can either shoot back or run. If no one notices you, it may be better to slowly and quietly take better cover. When there is no foliage or bunkers available, move closer to the ground.

    If you choose to play on one of AC Paintball’s woodsball fields, it will be more difficult to stay quiet. There will likely be dead leaves on the ground and other foliage that will make noise. When moving, try to choose pathways that have fewer leaves or trees. You don’t want to accidentally run into something and give your position away.

    Communicate

    It can be tough to communicate with others while trying to be stealthy. You can’t yell across the field or clap to get their attention. Instead, you will have to use quieter methods. For instance, you can use hand signals or Walkie-Talkies. If it is convenient, you can also have some designated messengers to spread messages around the field. Be sure to create a communication plan before your AC Paintball game begins. This way everyone knows what they are doing.

    Adjust to the Weather

    Yet another aspect you should take into consideration when you need to be stealthy is the weather. If it rains, the ground will be slippery and make it difficult to move. In this case, it is a good idea to move slowly. However, rain also makes noise that can distract from any sounds you may make. Be sure to think about the weather before your AC Paintball game. Then figure out what advantages you can take and what disadvantages the weather conditions may pose.

    Choose the Right Gear

    The wrong clothing can be a nightmare when trying to be stealthy at AC Paintball. If your clothing makes noise when you walk, it will be easy for your opponents to target you.

    It is also important to wear clothing that is easy to move in. Sneakers or combat boots are best for running through AC Paintball’s fields. You will also want to wear an outfit that is easy to move in. Jean can be restrictive or dig into you when you try to move into different positions.     Finally, you should know when to take action and when to stay put. Mastering this skill requires practice and experience, but there are some tips to provide.     Numbers

    Another example would be judging numbers. How many of your teammates are nearby and how many opponents are in the area. There is strength in numbers. You will want to consider this fact before you may a move.

    Take Chances

    There will definitely some instances where you will find it better to stay put. However, if you don’t take chances, you may not get anything accomplished.   • Arm Strengthening Exercises For Paintball

    Paintball is an active sport. When you play a game at AC Paintball, you can expect to do a lot of running, diving, and other movements, all while carrying a marker. You may notice that after a while, your arm gets tired of holding your gun up. This can affect your ability to aim and do other activities that paintball requires.

    The best way to make sure you can play the game to the best of your ability is to make sure you are prepared.     Remember to Stretch Before Any Workout

    Before you start any exercise, it is important to remember to stretch. In this case, you will want to pay extra attention to stretching your upper back, shoulders, and wrists. Don’t forget to stretch other main muscle groups, though. Also, make sure you are properly hydrated.

    Push-Ups and Planks

    Many paintball players like to incorporate planks and push-ups into their workout because they strengthen many areas at once.     Who Can Play?

    At AC Paintball our age limit is 10 and up. If you are a minor, you will need an adult parent, guardian, or temporary guardian with legal responsibility to sign AC Paintball’s waiver with you.

    Is Paintball Safe?

    With the fact that players use guns, also known as markers, participants and their families are often concerned about safety. Paintball actually sees fewer injuries than other sports such as soccer, football, and hockey. As long as the participants follow the rules, wear the proper equipment, and be somewhat careful, they can avoid major injuries.

    Does It Hurt?

    While you are likely not to suffer any major injuries, it is important to point out that getting hit with a paintball will likely sting for a few seconds. Yet, you may be so excited about your AC Paintball game that you barely notice it after a few seconds. You may also develop bruises or welts later on. However, if you continue to build up your muscle tissue over time, you will get used to getting hit and it won’t hurt as bad.

    What Should I Wear?

    When you visit AC Paintball, it is important to wear something comfortable that is easy to move in. Old sneakers or combat boots work best for running on uneven terrain. Many players avoid wearing jeans and opt for sweatpants, sweatshirts, or long sleeve athletic wear instead. If you plan on playing on one of AC Paintball’s wooded fields, you may also want to consider wearing camouflage or dark colors. Padding can help soften the blow when getting hit with a paintball.

    If you do have your own equipment, you are welcome to bring it to AC Paintball as long as it is within regulations. AC Paintballs limits are 280 fps and cannot be fully automatic.

    AC Paintball is a field paint only facility. This means you can only use the paint sold at our facility in southern New Jersey. This is an industry standard practice.

  • 9 Tips to Eliminate As Many Opponents As Possible

    The point of nearly all AC Paintball games is to eliminate all members of the opposing team. Therefore, the faster you can eliminate more players, the better advantage you will have. So, how do you eliminate as many players as you can as fast as you can? AC Paintball near Atlantic City, New Jersey is here with nine tips to help you accomplish this task.

    Take Your Time to Aim

    The first step to eliminating your opponents is being able to hit them. To do so, you need to aim your marker right. When you are in the heat of the moment, it can be easy to get caught up in the excitement and try to aim and shoot your gun as quickly as possible. However, if you take an extra second or two or aim your marker more accurately, you may find that you greatly improve your chances of hitting your opponent.

    It is also a good idea to test your gun before your AC Paintball game. This way, if it favors one side or shoots differently, you can adjust your aim.

    Fire In Bursts When Appropriate

    There are times during your AC Paintball game when shooting in bursts is not a good idea because it will give away your position. However, there are times when it is appropriate to shoot in bursts. For instance, if your opponents are on the move, firing many shots will improve your chances of hitting them. If your opponents ambush you, firing multiple shots can also help protect you or at least take a few opponents out with you.

    Also, not all paintballs break upon impact, so firing more shots will help ensure your hit counts.

    Shoot At Anything Your Opponent Has Exposed

    You don’t have to hit your opponent straight in the chest to eliminate them. Be on the lookout for arms, feet, or other body parts sticking out from behind the bunkers. If they unknowingly leave even a small part of themselves exposed, it’s your opportunity to take advantage of.

    Learn To Move and Shoot At the Same Time

    There will be times at AC Paintball where you may have to chase your opponent. Therefore, being able to aim and shoot while moving is a useful skill to have. By practicing and mastering this skill, you can improve your ability to eliminate your opponents no matter what the situation is. The key is to learn how to continually adjust your aim based on both your and your target’s speed.

    Always Look For Advantages

    Try to continually look for other ideas and perspectives. You never know when you will find a useful idea or strategy that you can take advantage of. Maybe you will find a good spot to hide or learn important information about your opponent’s strategy. Always be aware and think outside the box.

    Learn To Predict Your Opponent’s Moves

    Once you play enough games at AC Paintball, you may start to notice that you can better predict what your opponent will do and where they will move. When you know where they will move, you can figure out how to corner them and eliminate them. Think about what their goals and strengths are. Figure out what you would do in their position. Chances are what you would do is similar to what they are planning to do. Use this thinking to your advantage.

    Set Up Ambushes or Use Pinching

    There is strength in numbers. If you can communicate well with your team, you can set up ambushes to eliminate your opponent’s most dangerous players. You can also use a technique called pinching where each teammate takes a different side of a bunker that an opponent is behind. Your opponent will have fewer places to run to and you can increase you can more easily eliminate them, or at least trap them.

    If You Keep Missing, Move On

    There may be times where you are having an off day and just can’t seem to hit your target. If you keep missing, move on and find a new target or another way to contribute to a game. If you dwell on something too long, it will only get worse. Refocus and get your game back.

    Make Sure You Have Enough Ammo

    Finally, make sure you have enough ammo to last your entire AC Paintball game. If you run out of ammo, you have nothing to eliminate your opponents with. Be sure to check how many paintballs you have before each game and ensure all of your equipment is working properly. Then you can go out and help lead your team to victory!

    There are many aspects of paintball that require speed. If you are playing capture-the-flag, you need to run fast. If you are caught in a tricky situation, you need to think fast. If you and your opponent meet in a standoff, you need to aim and shoot fast.

    If you need to improve your physical speed, you can practice running in your yard or around your neighborhood. It may also help to practice running on different terrain. If you want to improve your mental speed, do some brain training puzzles, read, and try to plan for different situations ahead of time.

    Decision Making

    Every AC Paintball game is different. You will play on different fields, with different people, and encounter different situations. Therefore, you will have many different choices to make. In some cases, you can simply follow your team’s plan. However, sometimes you will need to consider the consequences and choose the best option.

    Better decision-making skill comes from experience. If you continue to play at AC Paintball and learn from each game, you will continue to improve.

    Sportsmanship

    Finally, it is important to have good sportsmanship. This is a skill every athlete should practice. It can be easy to get up in the excitement and competition, but you should always remember what is most important. Be friendly and courteous to both your teammates and your opponents. Of course, it is okay to have some friendly banter but don’t let things get out of hand.   • 9 Paintball Tips For Kids

    paintball birthday eventPaintball isn’t just for adults. Kids can be talented and skilled players too. At AC Paintball in southern New Jersey, our player age limit is 10 and up. We also host many children’s birthday parties throughout the year. Whether you or your child has been invited to an AC Paintball party or has just become interested in paintball, AC Paintball has some great tips for you.

    Dress Appropriately

    When you play paintball, it is important that you dress appropriately. Before you even leave your home, you will want to make sure you have an appropriate outfit for your day at AC Paintball. Make sure your clothing is easy to move in. You may also want to consider some padding to soften the blow when you get hit by a paintball. You will also need footwear that is easy to run in. You will be doing plenty of running during your day at AC Paintball.

    Don’t forget to check the weather forecast as well. If it rains you may want dry clothing to change into afterward. Being prepared for the weather will help you be comfortable so you can play better.

    Check Your Gear and Equipment

    Once you choose your gear at AC Paintball, you will want to check your gear. Make sure your mask is securely on your face, but not too tight. Make sure any padding you are using is secure as well. Bringing gloves can help you grip your gun and also protect your hands.

    You will also want to test your marker to make sure it is functioning properly. Testing it will also help you determine where a paintball will go when you shoot it and allow you to adjust your aim. Just make sure you are testing your marker in a safe area of the AC Paintball field and not aiming at anyone without protective gear.

    Warm Up

    You may be eager to jump right into your AC Paintball game, but it is important to warm up first. Stretch and jog a few laps before the game starts to help make sure you don’t hurt yourself. Also, make sure you have a healthy snack for fuel and drink enough water to stay hydrated.

    Be Aware of Your Surroundings

    When playing paintball, it is important to be aware of your surroundings. By being aware of your surroundings, you can more easily sneak up on your opponent’s and avoid getting hit. You should both look around and listen for movement. When looking, try to keep your vision lower to the ground, about knee level. This will improve your chances of spotting an opponent as some may be crawling on the ground. Then listen for rustling foliage, footsteps or people talking.

    The more aware you are of your surroundings, the more time you have to react and create a plan to avoid harm or surprise your opponents.

    Communicate, But Know When To Be Quiet

    Paintball is a team sport. If your team struggles to communicate about plans of action, it can be difficult to win the AC Paintball game. Your team should have a plan before going into the game. Then, if you have to adjust that plan based on your opponent’s plan, you should tell your teammates what you plan on doing. Then you can figure out how to pull off this plan together.

    However, it is also important to be quiet. If you yell across the AC Paintball field to your teammates, you will give away your position on the field as well as your plan. Instead, you can use hand signals, Walkie-Talkies, codewords, and other communication techniques. If the timing isn’t right, stay completely quiet.

    There are many bunkers available to use around all of AC Paintball fields. If you think strategically, you can use them to your advantage. Before the game figure out how you can use the bunkers to get from one place to another safely.

    Also, know how to shoot at someone from behind a bunker without getting hit back. Try to keep as much of your body behind the bunker as possible, and only poke your head out from behind for a few seconds at a time. This will decrease your chances of getting hit.

    Don’t Be Afraid, Take Some Chances

    If you are new to paintball, the game can seem pretty intimidating. Paintballs fly at you at high speeds, and everything is fast-paced. Don’t be afraid, though. Yes, getting hit with a paintball may sting quite a bit, but it will heal and you will get more used to the impact. You may be tempted to play things safe at first and that is okay, but you may find that you can be more successful when you take more chances. Keep trying and trust in your abilities and you will improve.

    Don’t Tire Yourself Out Too Quickly

    It can be easy to get excited about playing paintball with your friends and family. You may want to run as fast as you can and shoot as much as you can right away. This can tire you out quickly, though. AC Paintball sessions are 4 hours long and your equipment will begin to feel heavy if you use all of your energy too early. Pace yourself and take a few breaks to help ensure you still have some energy by the end of your AC Paintball session.

    Finally, the most important tip is to have fun! Your day at AC Paintball should be an exciting and enjoyable experience. Try to relax, be yourself, and make some good memories with your friends and family.

  • Renting vs. Buying Your Paintball Equipment

    The equipment you choose in paintball can make a big difference in how well you play the game. Different equipment models work better for different games and for different players. There are many choices out there when it comes to equipment, but one of the first decisions you need to make is how you are going to get your equipment. Do you want to rent your equipment or buy your own equipment?

    AC Paintball’s Equipment

    AC Paintball in southern New Jersey offers all of the paintball equipment you need for rent. We offer two different markers. This includes the Tippman Custom 98 Marker and the Valken V-Tac SW-1 Marker. You can rent either of these guns for $10. We also offer goggles, tanks, and pod belts.     Knowing What You Want

    To help you decide if you want to rent or buy, you should first figure out what you want. If you don’t know what you want, you can narrow down your choices by simply renting one of AC Paintball’s rentals. This will allow you to get a feel for a marker and determine what you do want in a gun. If you like AC Paintball’s rental guns and eventually want to get one for yourself, you can get the same or a similar model.

    If you do know exactly what you want and are looking for specific features, you can make your decision based on if AC Paintball’s guns offer what you are looking for. If they do have features you are looking for, it may be easier to rent your marker.     How Often You Play

    Another aspect that can help you determine whether you rather buy a marker or rent from AC Paintball is how often you plan on playing. If you only play at AC Paintball a few times per year, it is more cost effective to rent your equipment. However, if you play often, buying your own gun may provide more benefits. If you want to make the most cost-effective choice, research the equipment you want and compare the price to how often you play at AC Paintball.

If you choose to buy your own equipment, this is something you will want to plan for.

    Meanwhile, if you rent from AC Paintball, the equipment is already there and ready for you. You just have to focus on wearing the right clothing and maybe bringing some snacks, a towel, and sunscreen.
